Our family has proudly served, and continues to serve in the military for four generations, dating back as far as World War II. We began raising and hunting Blue Tick Hounds and Pointers back in the 1950’s. After many years an interest in the Labrador Retrievers took hold and we began breeding Labrador Retrievers. Our family has been breeding Labrador Retrievers for over 20 years, beginning in 2000.
Labrador Retrievers are very intelligent and are easy to train. The Labrador Retriever has been ranked the number one dog in the country for hunting. It is also one of the best companion dogs and family dogs you can have. They are very friendly dogs and good with kids of all ages. They have used and continue to be used for a variety of tasks such as service dogs, as well as drug dogs for law enforcement agencies.
Woods Ferry Labrador has many years experience with Labrador Retrievers. We have been very satisfied with this unique breed as the ideal family dog for generations & adaptable to practically any lifestyle.
We are a family owned and operated kennel in Chester, South Carolina. Our main goal is to produce a well sound pure blood line dog that excels in the field as well as in the home and shows. Our program focuses strongly on obedience and gun dog work. We are dedicated to preserving the integrity, intelligence and beauty of the Labrador Retriever. We have found that it takes a greta deal of commitment, knowledge and education to feel comfortable producing quality, genetically sound Labrador Retrievers. We would not want to compromise our reputation by claiming to be experts of multiple breeds. In our opinion most multi-breed kennels are more likely to be puppy mills just trying to cater to the latest fad. We want all of our puppies to have Happy, Healthy, Loving homes.
JUST ONE OF OUR TRAINING AREAS
Our kennel is located on 30 acres within one and half miles from the “Sumter National Forest” where we do the most of our training. In addition to this, we train on Monticello Lake and Broad River which is located only 3 miles from our facilities with several trails and dove fields We also have access to several local duck ponds, We alternate “training grounds” on a regular basis and train on all types of terrain and cover.
One of the family members in Woods Ferry Labrador has a Veterinary Technical Degree from Stanford University on site, our Labrador Retrievers have their Hips, Elbows, O.F.A. Certified. We try very hard to keep our puppies free of any airborne diseases. All puppies from Woods Ferry Labrador are conditionally guaranteed against Congenital Hip Dysplasia & Hereditary Eye Disease for 24 months.
If your pup develops one of these conditions during this period, we will refund half of the purchase price of your pup or replace your pup (at no additional cost to you) with an equal pedigreed pup.
Your puppy will have dewclaws removed at the age of 5 days old. Have their first shot in the series and be de-wormed.
With the purchase of one of our puppies, you will receive a sales contract, health agreement and AKC papers.

Our goal is to have best quality Labrador Retrievers out there. That’s why breedings are $1000.00 and are sold only at our discretion.

We only have AKC registered full blooded Labradors. We do not deal in any cross/mixed breeds such as the American Labrador or the Red Fox Labrador.
